The PEO Sales Consultant is responsible for generating new business within the small-to-mid-size employer market by positioning TrendHR’s PEO services as a strategic solution for HR, payroll, benefits, and risk management needs.
This role requires a strong hunter mentality, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to build trust quickly with business owners, CFOs, HR leaders, and operational executives. You will manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery to pricing, proposal delivery, and closing—while partnering closely with our internal underwriting, HR, and operations teams to ensure a seamless client onboarding experience.
Prospect, qualify, and acquire new business within assigned DFW territory
Develop and maintain a strong referral network among CPAs, brokers, bankers, chambers, and local business organizations
Execute a consistent weekly activity cadence (calls, meetings, drop-ins, networking events)
Conduct discovery meetings to evaluate prospect needs, pain points, headcount, and suitability for PEO
Build and present customized PEO solutions including payroll, HR services, employee benefits, workers’ compensation, risk management, and technology
Deliver proposals, explain pricing models, negotiate terms, and close business with decision-makers
Partner with underwriting, HR, and operations to ensure accurate pricing and smooth client transition
Participate in kickoff calls and handoff meetings to set clients up for long-term success
Maintain CRM documentation, forecasting, and pipeline accuracy
Represent TrendHR at community events, networking groups, chamber meetings, and industry associations
Stay informed on HR trends, employment regulations, local business climate, and competitive landscape
